A guided walking tour through Santa Ana, the neighborhood next to Casco Viejo, in search of the city's most hidden flavors.
The tour begins with pickup at your hotel lobby. The first stop is the historic Café Coca Cola, Panama's oldest café, where you'll sample a traditional Panamanian breakfast while learning its history. From there, the tour continues to Avenida Central, the area's main shopping avenue, passing through the famous Salsipuedes street — full of food vendors and local crafts, including tembleques, the handmade headpieces worn as part of the traditional Panamanian pollera dress.
The tour continues through Chinatown, where you'll try some of Panama's most popular snacks, and arrives at the farmers market, with a wide variety of local, seasonal fruit and vegetables. The experience ends at the fish market, with a traditional fresh ceviche paired with an ice-cold Panamanian beer, before walking back to your hotel in Casco Viejo.
