An immersive, hands-on culinary experience in Casco Viejo, Panama City's picturesque colonial district, led by a Panamanian chef.
The experience begins with pickup at your hotel and a short walk through Casco Viejo to the cooking studio, where your local chef welcomes you to learn about Panama and its traditional cuisine while preparing, with your own hands, the dishes you'll later enjoy. The menu changes constantly with seasonal fruits and vegetables, always built around a three-course meal.
During this 3-hour hands-on experience, you'll learn to prepare traditional recipes just as the chef's grandmother taught her — empanadas, ceviche, carimañolas, tamales, chicken with rice, fish escabeche, coconut rice, saltfish fritters, seafood curry, stewed chicken, pork or beef, sweet plantains, coconut sweets, flan and mamallena, among others. Afterward, enjoy what you've prepared before strolling back to your hotel in Casco Viejo.
Private round-trip transfer from your hotel, dietary restrictions and any other particular requirement can be coordinated to tailor the experience to your occasion or preference.
